Hello Team!!

Well I am finally done with school and so I am not running around with my head cut off. This also means I will be able to talk with all of you and get to know you all better before we go on the trip.

There is also something else that I really wanted to stress to all of you that has been on my heart.

PRAY

The Bible teaches us that anything that we ask for that is in His name and according to His Word, we shall receive. Matthew 7:7-8 says "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks the door will be opened" I don't know if yall caught that... if we ASK, then we shall RECEIVE! This always astonishes me, because who am I that our Lord and King would listen, let alone grant my requests.

However, when we ask, the Bible says to believe that we have received it. Mark 11:24 "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."

We must be pure in what we ask for though. It must be of God, because otherwise we will not receive it. James 4:1-3 states "What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Don't they come from the desires that battle within you? You want something but you don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures."

Telling yall all of this, I ask that you would start to cover this trip in prayer. Pray pray pray. As much as you can. Because the Lord will provide. And He is going to show up, BIG time. When you get up, when you are eating, when you are about to go to bed and anytime in between. Pray. If you can, schedule times throughout your day that you can stop, and for 15 minutes, come before the Lord, listen to Him, and pray to Him.

When you pray though, be definite. Be specific. In Mark 10:51, Jesus asks the blind man "What do you want me to do for you?" the blind man answers "Lord, I want to see" He knew what he wanted and He asked Jesus for it, and Jesus says "Receive you sight; your faith has healed you." So when you are praying for this trip, be specific in what you ask for, ask the Father, and believe that you will receive it, and you will.

Also, leading up to this trip, there is something else you should be aware of and watching out for. Be aware of the tricks and schemes of the devil. This time we have before the trip, this month and a half, is critical, and it may be an extremely tough time for you. The devil does not want us to pray for this trip, does not want us to think about it or get ready for it. He wants to distract us, to torment us so that we are ill prepared for what is ahead of us. Be aware of it, and be ready for it, because it will come. Ever since the leaders training camp there has been one thing or another that has been a thorn in my side. But you know what? The great thing is, Jesus has already claimed victory over him. In John 16, Jesus is telling the disciples of a time when they are going to have troubles, a time when He will no longer be with them. However, He ends the passage by saying "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world" (John, 16:33)

So, brothers and sisters, I am excited to meet and get to know all of you. I am praying for all of you. Know that. I cannot stress this enough, but start preparing yourself for this trip and cover it in prayer.
